(WHAT?!?! There was NO BLOG last night, because of MOI?!?! No!)
(Or, if his hands were up on his cheeks, alternately titled "Dresden's audition photo for Home Alone 6")
We interrupted our regularly scheduled programming of Christmas pajamas due to a sick, crying, flailing, wailing child, who shall remain nameless, engaging in said behavior until 2 o' clock in the morning last evening, thus preventing said child's mother from uploading and completing the day 7 blog. Now, please enjoy a double feature, Day 7 AND Day 8! And many thanks to Grammy for capturing Day 7's pictures while mommy and daddy were out conducting a bit o' Christmas shopping.
All together now, onnnnnnnnn the 7th day of Christmas, my Grammy! put on me, a stripey Christmas monkey...
Putting on a cute face while trouble was a brewin' underneath...
Sweet Christmas tree picture
I love this sweet little profile.
No pictures of the utter chaos that began around 9:30 (nobody should have to see that!). We thought he would go to sleep with no issues, put him right down in his crib, no fuss. But over the course of the next three hours it was like who IS this kid?! Seriously, without all the details, it was one of the most difficult nights, if not THE most difficult, of parenting thus far. Seriously, it was like this is NOT Dresden. He was just inconsolable. On the plus side, he did not get sick, and his fever was gone (and still is, yay!) But, yeah, it was not pretty. The first half of the day was rough today too, just from staying up so late, but then it got a LOT better when we got up and at 'em, and went and did some Christmas shopping. He's like a whole new boy tonight! So, without further ado, and probably my FAVORITE of all the Christmas pajamas, Day 8.
On the 8th Day of Christmas my mommy put on me, Santa flying rockets!
I love that these are Christmas pajamas but that they are the most beautiful royal blue color. So retro! (And no, Nick and Nora is not paying me to endorse their pj's, but maybe they should!)
Look at the dogged determination to get that ribbon untied and off that box. Atta' boy Dresden!
Speaking of "retro", I couldn't help putting an antique finish on this picture to see how it looked.
I think it fits perfectly.
"Santa flying rockets, stripey Christmas monkey, Grey and navy Santas, Cuuuute reindeer footies, I'm on Grandma's Nice list, Santa on green footies, Nutcrackers crackin' and snowflakes and sock monkeys." (I was negligent and did not listen to the song again as promised, but you get the idea.)
Won't be long now! I cannot believe Christmas is next Saturday! How exciting is that? Be back again tomorrow. Take care until then.
Love,
Cassie, Alex and Dresden
